I built ResumeMaker.Online to make your job search easier.
ResumeMaker.Online began as a focused resume maker and has grown into a connected workspace for the moments between deciding to look for a job and walking into the interview.
The story
Hi, I’m Fernando. I’m a designer turned builder, and I started ResumeMaker.Online in 2018 with a simple idea: creating a professional resume should not require design skills, expensive software, or hours of fighting with formatting.
The first version focused on helping people put their experience into a clean document and move forward. Millions of downloaded resumes later, the same principle still guides the product: remove unnecessary friction from a task few people enjoy, making it easier for non-designers and people without hours to spend writing or formatting.
Over time, I also saw that the resume was only one part of a much bigger and more emotional process. Job seekers were moving between disconnected tools to improve their profile, find roles, tailor applications, remember follow-ups, and prepare for interviews. Every handoff meant lost context and more work.
A job search already asks a lot from people. The software should reduce the weight of the process, not add another system they have to manage.
Why it became more than a resume maker
The current ResumeMaker.Online connects the work that normally gets scattered across tabs. Your resume becomes useful context for the rest of the journey instead of a file you finish once and forget.

I do not have a huge marketing budget, and I do not pay influencers to tell people how great ResumeMaker.Online is. Most people find the product because someone they know used it, liked it, and recommended it.
That means I have to earn every recommendation. The product needs to be genuinely useful, the price needs to feel fair, and the experience needs to be good enough that you would feel comfortable sharing it with a friend.
I have spent 20 years designing and building digital products, but I am still the person reading your support messages and deciding what gets improved next. When the same problem keeps coming up, there is no committee or chain of management between that feedback and the person who can fix it.
Your subscription helps cover the servers, AI services, support, and time required to keep improving the platform. It is not paying for a large sales team or an expensive advertising machine.
Being independent is not something I try to hide. I am proud of it. My commitment is simple: listen carefully, treat people fairly, and keep building a product worth recommending.
I built the kind of tool I wanted for myself first, then kept improving it with the people who use it. I know how it works, I answer for it, and I trust it enough to put my name behind it.

What comes next
The ambition is not to turn ResumeMaker.Online into a collection of unrelated features. It is to make the path from experience to opportunity feel coherent: one workspace, shared context, and less repeated work at every stage.
I’m still building with the same mindset as the first version: listen carefully, keep what is useful, remove what gets in the way, and make the product better one practical decision at a time.
